PART-TIME VIDEO & GRAPHICS DESIGNER
(25-30 hours per week, flexible schedule)
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES [Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions]:
  • Creation of original event and facility artwork, photography, video and sound designs including event and facility signage, promotional videos, posters, flyers, PowerPoint presentations, etc. 
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team and clients to ensure adherence to facility, sponsor, & event brand standards. 
  • Produce and edit dynamic and energizing photos and video through the use of effects, color correction, text animation, etc. 
  • Assist and/or complete other project requests for General Manager and other upper-management team members. 
  • Update and maintain staff headshots
  • Support Events production throughout the entire event including setup, production and breakdown
 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Graphic Art, Photography, or similar field preferred. Three years college experience in one of the fields above is required.  
  • 1-2 years of experience in Graphic Design
  • 1-2 years of experience in Videography
Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Demonstrated ability to use Mac OS, Photoshop, Final Cut, bitmap animation, and SLR camera 
  • Demonstrated ability to use creativity from conceptualization to production 
  • Ability to prioritize, manage, and complete multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines  
  • Ability to work all events, including those on evenings, weekends and holidays 
  • Possess excellent communication, team work and organizational skills 
  • Available to work 25-30 hours per week on a varying schedule.

GUEST SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

Operates radio dispatch as needed
Receives, sorts, and routes mail and maintains and routes publications

Schedules part-time employees for Directors at their request  
Coordinates schedules and makes appointments for Directors at their request
Conducts research and compiles statistical reports; maintains marketing databases
Performs other clerical duties as needed
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED is REQUIRED
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is REQUIRED
2+ years of administrative experience is preferred

Proficiency in all MS Office applications, office equipment, fax machines, copy machines, etc.
Ability to type at least 55 wpm

F&B FINANCE ASSISTANT
(part-time, 20-30 hours per week, schedule varies)
 
 MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES [Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions]:
  • Assists in the development and implementation of facility food and beverage goals and priorities relating to financial management, budget, accounting, purchasing, and/or payroll in compliance with State and Federal laws and SMG policies and procedures
  • Assists Finance department and accumulates data for F&B department, including payroll information, purchasing, invoice coding, and other accounts payable information, accounts receivable billing and collection information, event settlement information, and other accounting requests
  • Assists with the preparation of all F&B financial reporting, including:
  1. Administers the installation and maintenance of inventory point of sale system to maintain records to show inventory receipts and costs of sales
  2. Assists the Finance department with accumulation of data needed for the preparation of financial statements for the client and SMG, and other financial reports, including monthly statements, annual budget and annual report
  3. Prepares F&B cost analyses and rate studies
  4. Prepares and analyzes F&B information for financial statements and reports
  5. Prepares statements and reports of estimated future F&B costs and revenues
  6. Administers internal audits involving review of F&B department accounting and administrative controls
  7. Assists Finance department with preparation of external audit materials and external financial reporting
  8. Works with client and external auditors in verifying financial information/procedures
  • Works with Finance department to establish system controls for new F&B financial systems and develops procedures to improve existing systems
  • Assists in opening and/or closing down events and verifying revenue
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
  • At least one year of experience in accounting and/or finance related field.
  • Associate’s degree required. Third or fourth-year Accounting or Finance students from four-year college or university will be preferred.
  • Facility/industry experience preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Excellent math skills and a high aptitude for figures
  • Demonstrated proficiency in all MS Office applications and accounting software
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills 
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Professional appearance and work ethic
  • Requires flexible schedule 
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Assists in the immediate pre-event planning and organization as well as post-event reporting if necessary 
Delegates tasks and supervises employees in the front of house in accordance with SMG’s policies and applicable laws. 
Assists in the training of employees in accordance with SMG’s policies and applicable laws. 
Communicates with Events Department staff at all levels to ensure guest satisfaction.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must
Professional dress and demeanor required
1-2 years of supervisory experience or 1-2 years event services experience required 
Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) will be strongly preferred
High school or GED required. College will be preferred.

  • Communicates with Food and Beverage Department staff at all levels to ensure guest satisfaction.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least 2 years of bartending experience is required
  • Previous supervisory experience is required
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) will be strongly preferred
  • Must have current TABC certification
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills are a must
